Mobile Setpoints

Setpoints are what allow you to set how your equipment responds to its demands and what those demands will be. Almost every equipment on your system will have some set points to calibrate. It is possible to have stand alone equipment that controls itself. These equipments will have monitor only points.

A setpoint controller has two displays fields and three buttons titled override, auto, and set (image 2-1). The fields display the name of the setpoint and its current value.

Override: When the override button is pressed a pop-up window will appear. There are two fields in which you can edit; Override Value and Override Duration. The Override Value field is where you enter your desired setting. The override Duration pull-down menu allows you to set the length of time the Override Value will last. When a point is overridden it will the display fields color to purple (image 2-2).

AUTO: This button is used to disable an overridden point and have it resume at its normal setting.

SET: Pressing this button causes a pop-up window to appear that allows you to change the setting value of that point.

If a point is overridden using the Set button will have no effect until the overridden value duration ends or the auto button is pressed.

The purpose of the override feature is to make quick or temporary changes to the system. If you override a value and set the duration to be permanent it would be recommended to use the set button instead of override.

Space Temp Alarm Limits

The space temperature alarm limit setpoint (image 3-1) option allows you to configure if or when and alarm email is sent out to (To learn about Email Notification click here). To enable the alarm the box must be checked. Doings so enables the field. This field can be used to set the limit that must be reached before an alarm is created. The high limit watches for the temperature to rise above the value while the low limit alarm watches for the temperature to drop below the value. In either case an alarm will be generated and email will be sent out if the email notification is set up.
