What the Service Contract does:

The primary reason for any service agreement is to identify failures before they happen. We have found that it is more cost effective to maintain your building automation / energy management system than it is to wait for a major upgrade or retro-fit. A service agreement pays for itself by avoiding lost revenue caused by downtime. In addition you can operate with the peace of mind that if anything should happen to your system you will have CSC trained professionals ready to help in a timely manner.

CSC offers customized service agreements. All CSC service agreements gives you the option to remotely monitor systems and often avoid the expense of an onsite visit. Below are some of the things you might expect to see as part of a service agreement:


Quarterly:

  • Clean and inspect all control enclosures and check for loose or broken connections.
  • Log into the main controller and verify functionality and that all networks are communicating.
  • Open all point folders and verify that all sensors, both passive and active, are operating within specification guidelines.
  • Correct any and all deficiencies and log any failures.
  • Reset and archive all valid trends and inactive alarms that may be held in the console, and delete invalid or empty registers.
  • Backup the database and station.

Annual:

  • Clean and inspect all control enclosures and check for loose or broken connections.
  • Log into the main controller and verify functionality and that all networks are communicating.
  • Open all point folders and verify that all sensors, both passive and active, are operating within specification guidelines.
  • Correct any and all deficiencies and log any failures.
  • Reset and archive all valid trends and inactive alarms that may be held in the console, and delete invalid or empty registers.
  • Calibrate all temperature sensors.
  • Validate operation of all PID loops and adjust as necessary.
  • Perform active test on all major alarms and verify proper operation.
  • Apply any software updates that may have been released and that are applicable to your system.
  • Provide two hours of additional operator training for new employees or 2 hours of advanced training for current employees.
  • Backup the database and station.

Control Systems Consultants will provide to our customers under service agreement a reduced hourly rate of $98.00 per service hour with a $50.00 truck fee and no minimum, as opposed to our normal rate of $110.00 per service hour with a two hour minimum. We will guarantee that the hourly rate for customers under service agreement will not increase during the period of performance regardless of the regular rate. The service agreement rate will not increase more than 5% upon renewal regardless of the regular service rate. Additionally, service agreement customers will receive a guaranteed 24 hour response time or less.
